A West Roxbury man was sentenced Monday to three years in state prison on gun charges after being arrested when his dirt bike stalled, prosecutors said. Alexander Harris, 31, was indicted by a Suffolk County grand jury and pleaded guilty Monday to charges related to the unlawful possession of a firearm. Police responded to complaints of people riding dirt bikes recklessly near Ridgewood Street in Dorchester at about 7 p.m. on May 28, 2013. As police approached, Harris tried to flee but his dirt bike failed to start, and he was apprehended. Officers found two white socks and a loaded revolver when retracing Harris’s path, prosecutors said.
