Car crashes into Green Line train in Brighton, MBTA says

MBTA Transit Police responded to a collision between a Green Line train and a car this morning on Commonwealth Avenue near South Street in Brighton, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Transit Police responded to the collision between a car and an eastbound Green Line train at 8:10 a.m., according to MBTA spokeswoman Kelly Smith. The car, which had been traveling across the westbound tracks, struck the eastbound train behind the operator’s window.

Shuttle buses replaced Green Line service in both directions between Washington Street and Boston College stations.

Commuters were told to expect “moderate” delays, according to the MBTA’s social media accounts.
