Baby flown to Boston hospital after 20-foot fall

A 13-month-old girl in Hyannis was flown to Tufts Medical Center via Medflight helicopter with non-life threatening injuries after falling more than 20 feet from a window, authorities said Sunday.

Barnstable police responded to a single-family house at 136 Seagate Lane at 11:29 a.m. Sunday and found the toddler with her mother, Sergeant David Myett said. The girl fell from a window and landed over mulch, he said.

“We believe it was an accident,” Myett said about the fall, which is under investigation.

The Hyannis Fire Department also responded to the incident, according to Captain Bill Rex.
