Firefighters battle 2-alarm fire in Chelsea

Chelsea firefighters are responding to a two-alarm fire inside a six-family home on Shurtleff Street this afternoon, officials said.

Firefighters received reports of a fire on the first floor of the three-story brick building just after 2:30 p.m., according to Chelsea Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Denning.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters from Revere, Everett, Malden, and Winthrop are assisting in the response, Denning said.
