About 20 people have been displaced following a five-alarm fire that heavily damaged a large, four-story apartment building on Wyoming Street in Roxbury early on Tuesday, according to the Boston Fire Department.
One firefighter suffered a shoulder injury while battling the blaze, which caused an estimated $800,000 in damage, the department said on its official Twitter account.
None of the residents at 33 Wyoming St. were injured, but fire heavily damaged the second and third floors while all four floors were swamped by water, the department said.
The fire was reported at 1:44 a.m., and was declared out around 3:30 a.m. The cause of the fire in the 125-unit building remains under investigation.
