A homeless man was shot to death Wednesday in Hartford. Police said the 33-year-old victim was found on Vine Street at about 2:45 a.m. with a bullet wound to the chest. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital and died a few hours later. Police had gone to the scene after being alerted to the gunfire by the city’s ShotSpotter system. Police said the section of the street where the shooting occurred is undergoing construction and is completely vacant. The victim listed his address as a shelter on Main Street. No arrests have been made.
