Jennifer Collins, left, and her wife, Ruth Ewing, did some step dancing before taking part in Saturday's Boston Pride Parade.
The event was the 44th annual celebration of gay pride. Pictured: Sister Eunice with The Boston Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Convent of the Commonwealth.
Bobby Digital, left, and Danny Glam were among the thousands of participants.
Two-year old Wyatt Del Pidio and Henry, a five-month old English bulldog, watched the parade go by near the South End.
The changing weather did nothing to keep people from celebrating gay pride.
Cameron Quinlan of Boston (center, dancing) and others with the Paries Creperie of Brookline marched in the parade.
Pride is celebrated in cities worldwide throughout June, in part to commemorate the anniversary of the June 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City that helped spark the gay rights movement.
T Jay Stubbs of the Bahamas snapped a photo with Dorian Smith of Jamaica.
Members of the Boston Hoohahs participated in the parade.
