A 20-year-old woman, possibly out for a run, was hit by an SUV and killed Sunday afternoon in Sharon, authorities said. The pedestrian was hit by a white Ford Explorer about 4:30 p.m. at Hampton and Dogwood roads, the Norfolk district attorney’s office said. She was taken to Norwood Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the DA’s office said. Some members of the woman’s family were with her at the hospital, but her name was withheld Sunday night pending notification of additional family members. The driver of the vehicle was not identified Sunday night, and no charges had been filed. The accident remained under investigation by the Sharon Police Department, State Police, and Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office.
