The sunshine has returned, and forecasters say it should stick around for a while.
“It’ll be gorgeous right through the weekend,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Alan Dunham. “Today we’ll see mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s, and we might even touch 90.”
Showers and thunderstorms cleared from the region overnight, giving way to partly sunny skies this morning. Clouds should clear throughout the afternoon as temperatures rise to 88 degrees.
“It’ll be a bit breezy this afternoon, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour,” Dunham said. “It will start feeling a little less humid as we get through the afternoon.”
Skies should become partly cloudy again this evening as low temperatures start sinking into the upper 60s overnight.
Thursday will be sunny but slightly cooler, with high temperatures at 83 degrees. Skies should stay mostly clear into the evening. Low temperatures are expecting to drop to a below-normal 58 degrees.
“Friday will be a little bit cooler but still gorgeous,” Dunham said. High temperatures are expected to reach 77 degrees, with sunny skies persisting through the day. The evening should be mostly clear, with low temperatures in the upper 50s overnight.
