Sunny, warm, and dry right through the weekend

The region is expected to enter a dry spell that should last until the middle of next week, forecasters said.

“It looks like next week, around Tuesday and Wednesday, there’s a possibility of some rain,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Rebecca Gould. “But it’s just a small chance right now.”

Today should be dry and mostly sunny, with high temperatures near 79 degrees. Skies are expected to stay cloud-free into the evening, with low temperatures in the upper 50s overnight.

The week should end on an equally sunny note. High temperatures are expected to climb to 77 degrees Friday, with mostly cloudy skies into the afternoon. Low temperatures should drop to 58 degrees.

“The weekend should be pretty nice,” Gould said. “Temperature-wise we’re right about normal, in the upper 70s to around 80, no precipitation, and nice sunny skies.”

Saturday will have mostly sunny skies with high temperatures at 76 degrees. Some clouds should arrive in the evening as temperatures sink into the upper 50s.

Similar conditions should arrive Sunday, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. Skies are expected to become partly cloudy in the afternoon. Low temperatures should drop to 58 degrees overnight.
