Body found in Maine may be missing N.H. teen

New Hampshire authorities are waiting to confirm whether a stabbing victim found in Maine is the 18-year-old reported missing from his Madbury, N.H. home Saturday, prosecutors said in a statement.

The teen, who was not identified, was reported missing by his parents Saturday morning.

New Hampshire State Police started an investigation into the teen’s disappearance, according to a statement from New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster’s office.

On Saturday afternoon, the body of a young man was found in Lebanon, ME. He had been stabbed to death, Foster’s office said.

New Hampshire and Maine officials were unsure if the incidents are related Sunday evening.

They were waiting for a report from the Maine Medical Examiner’s office, which should be released within a few days, according to the Foster’s office.
