Thieves accused of stealing $10,000 worth of wine

A security camera in the Route 9 location captured photographs of the man and woman police believe are responsible.

Police are searching for a pair of people who allegedly stole $10,000 of high-end wine from the Wegmans store in Newton.

The thefts happened throughout the month of June, police said.

Most recently, on June 13, two bottles of 2006 Mouton Rothschildwere reported missing. Each stolen bottle was worth more than $1,000, police said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact Newton police at 617-796-2104.
