Two men injured in Blue Hill Avenue hit-and-run

Two men were struck by a hit-and-run driver who sped through an intersection on Blue Hill Avenue late Thursday night, Boston police said.

The victims told police they left a cookout and were walking across the street about 11:35 p.m. at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Balsam Street when they were hit by the car, which fled the scene, said Officer Neva Coakley, a Boston police spokeswoman.
