After rough weather Monday, sunny skies ahead

After a day of rough weather that included a tornado in Revere, the weather is taking a decidedly sunnier turn today and beyond.

“For Southern New England, we’re looking good for the rest of the week,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Alan Dunham.

Tuesday is projected to be sunny and comfortable, with low humidity and high temperatures in the upper 70s. Wednesday is expected to be similar.

“Tomorrow, start off sunny, maybe some afternoon fair-weather clouds,” Dunham said. Otherwise, the region can expect dry, cool weather, the weather service said.

By Thursday, temperatures will begin to rise, along with the humidity. There is a slight chance of showers Thursday afternoon.

The weekend will likely start out cool and cloudy, with low humidity, Dunham said. Friday and Saturday are expected to be cloudy but dry.

“The next chance of showers right now is really looking like Sunday, with a 40 percent chance,” he said.
