Unattended death at home owned by ex-Waltham police chief

Police responded to an unattended death in a Maynard home Tuesday evening, officials said.

Detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office are investigating the death at 31 Wood Lane, but it did not appear suspicious, said Middlesex district attorney’s spokeswoman Mary Beth Long.

Long would not say who died.

Town assessment records indicate that the Wood Lane home is owned by former Waltham Police Chief Thomas LaCroix.
