Human remains found in woods in Falmouth

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a person whose remains were found off a walking trail in Falmouth Sunday evening, but police are investigating, officials said. Two Falmouth residents notified police about 6:15 p.m. Sunday of what they believed to be human remains off a trail in the Beebe Woods conservation area, Falmouth police said. Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said detectives believe they know who the individual might be and how long the body was in the woods, but would not comment further. The trails in Beebe Woods were temporarily closed while police investigated.
