Pedestrian fatally struck on Memorial Drive identified

A 50-year-old Boston man was identified today as the person who was struck by a vehicle and killed on Memorial Drive in Cambridge Tuesday morning.

State Police identified the man as Mark C. Keiser and said he was fatally struck around 7 a.m. near the Massachusetts Avenue underpass.

State Police said Keiser was struck by a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Brighton man whose name has not been released.

Keiser was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, State Police said.

The investigation is continuing, State Police said.
