Girls still in danger after rescue from Yarmouth hotel pool

Two young sisters remain in life-threatening condition at Boston Children’s Hospital after they nearly drowned in a hotel pool in West Yarmouth Wednesday night, police said in a statement today. The girls, ages 9 and 12, were on vacation from New York, staying at the Bayside Resort Hotel at 225 Route 28, police said. At about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, police and firefighters received a report that they had been pulled from the bottom of the pool, unconscious. Police performed CPR, aided by fire personnel from Yarmouth and Dennis. The girls were taken to Cape Cod Hospital and then flown to Boston Children’s Hospital, police said. The incident is still under investigation.
