Franklin family delivers baby in car in Natick

A Franklin couple on the way to the hospital ended up delivering their baby in their car in Saturday morning, a Natick Fire Department official said. The couple was headed to Leonard Morse Hospital in Framingham for the child’s delivery, but had to pull into a Woodland Street driveway in Natick around 6 a.m., said Captain John Austin. A fire engine and an ambulance arrived at the scene, and the baby girl was given oxygen, Austin said. The family was taken to Newton Wellesley Hospital, where the mother and child were in stable condition.
