Man fires into Savin Hill Station, no one hurt

A man fired multiple shots at MBTA riders at Savin Hill Station on Sunday afternoon, Transit police said. Transit police Lieutenant Commander Michael Shea said that at 5:47 p.m., a witness reported that the suspect, in his late teens or early 20s, was standing just inside the station entrance and firing shots at riders standing near the turnstiles. No one was injured. The suspect had fled by the time Transit police and Boston police responded to the scene. Shea said that police did not have a motive for the shooting and that the investigation is ongoing.
