Planning to drive through Boston tonight from the north on Interstate 93?
The Thomas P. O’Neill Jr. Tunnel on Interstate 93 is set to close overnight beginning at 11 p.m.
MassDOT will close the tunnel in the southbound direction through Boston overnight into Wednesday for maintenance work, the state agency said in a statement.
A detour will lead I-93 southbound traffic to the Mystic offramp at Exit 28.
Following the offramp, traffic will then be directed through Sullivan Square to Rutherford Avenue, through the southbound side of the Surface Artery.
Southbound traffic will be able to reenter I-93 at the onramp at Albany Street and Herald Street.
