Boston police and Northeastern University police arrested three people at the edge of the campus Monday after gunfire was reported in a nearby housing development, university police said in an e-mail message to students and faculty. Boston police received a call about 3:10 p.m. reporting shots fired in the area of 641 Parker St., but no injuries were reported, said David Estrada, a Boston police spokesman. A car chase across the Northeastern campus ended near the intersection of Gainsborough and St. Botolph streets with the arrest of three people unaffiliated with the university. A gun was found inside the vehicle used in the chase, university police said.
