Boston Olympics boosters release conceptual drawings

A day after the US Olympic Committee picked Boston as the nation’s candidate for the 2024 Summer Olympics, organizers here have provided an early glimpse of what an event might look like.

A set of conceptual drawings released by the group Boston 2024 show a number of potential scenes, including the area around the Athletes Village and the Aquatics Center.

The designs will likely change in the decade between now and the athletic competitions. And Boston still has to compete with cities from around the globe for the final selection in two years.

Still, the drawings give some indication of the look and feel envisioned by local boosters.
