Organizers of the effort to bring the 2024 Summer Olympics will unveil their revised proposal on Monday morning, people familiar with the plans said.

The altered blueprint — known as “bid 2.0” — has been in the works for months, after mounting public criticism forced Boston 2024, the group behind the plans, to acknowledge mistakes and change leadership.

The rollout will take place on Monday at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Boston 2024 officials on Wednesday briefed executives from the United States Olympic Committee, the group that will decide whether to submit the plans to the International Olympic Committee as intended. People familiar with those proceedings said the national group had been encouraged by the revisions, assuaging fears among some Olympics boosters that the USOC could turn its back on the Boston plans.

But USOC executives told the local organizers that they wanted to see a “positive trend” in public opinion polling as the September deadline nears, when the USOC will decide whether to push ahead with Boston.

After unveiling the plans at the convention center, Boston 2024 will present the plans privately to the USOC board Tuesday in Redwood City, Calif.
