Dracut woman wins $5.7 million lottery prize

A Dracut woman went to sleep $5.7 million richer Friday night after she won the Lucky for Life grand prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery.

Gail Harmon opted to receive her prize as a lump sum instead of the game’s advertised “$1,000 a day for life,” the lottery announced after Thursday’s drawing.

Harmon said she plans on buying a lake house in New England with her winnings, the lottery said announced on its website Friday night.

Harmon’s winning combination was 15-17-27-37-45, and the Lucky Ball number 8.

She is the fourth Massachusetts resident to win a Lucky for Life grand prize since the game was created in 2012.

Harmon purchased her ticket at Broadway Convenience in Dracut, the lottery said. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
