Former president Barack Obama zoomed into Dorchester Sunday evening to receive the annual John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award and deliver one his highest-profile speeches since departing the White House.

Here’s a look at who was spotted at the event. (Note: Governor Charlie Baker, a Republican, eschewed the red carpet, instead slipping in a side door.)

Boston, MA May 4, 2017: People were gathered at the entrance to the UMASS Boston campus on Morrissey Boulevard as they waited for the arrival of former president Barack Obama, who was heading for the JFK Library to accept the "Profiles in Courage Award". He went by in the middle of a motorcade. He didn't stop and get out, and with the tinted glass on the windows of the vehicle he was riding in (the black SUV at top right) some people didn't realize he had already gone by, but some did see him, and reacted with excitement.
