Timeline: The South Boston double murder

On Friday, Bampumim Teixeira allegedly murdered two doctors in their South Boston home. Dr. Richard Field and his fiancée, Dr. Lina Bolanos, were found with their throats slit, police said.

Here’s a timeline:

July 2016

Teixeira is arrested and jailed for robbing a bank. During the arrest, Teixeira confesses to robbing the same bank in 2014.

April 4, 2017

Teixeira is released from jail after serving a total of nine months.

Teixeira tells his ex-girlfriend he does not expect to live much longer, she says.

May 5

At some time before 911 is called: Field sends out a plea for help to a friend via a text message.

8:38 p.m.: Boston police receive a call reporting a man with a gun at 141 Dorchester Ave, in South Boston.

8:45 p.m.: The suspect, later identified as Teixeira, opens fire at the officers who arrive on the 11th floor of the apartment building. Officers fire back at Teixeira, wounding him. No officers are harmed.

Teixeira is arrested and brought to Tufts Medical Center.
