Yale dean on leave after writing about ‘white trash’ (and other things) in Yelp reviews

A dean at Yale University has been placed on leave after posting racially insensitive comments to a review website, according to the Yale Daily News.

The Daily News reported that June Chu, dean of Pierson College, referred to customers at one establishment as “white trash” and “low class folks.”

The Daily News found derogatory reviews written by Chu on the Yelp website.

A message left for a Yale spokesperson wasn’t immediately returned.
