Come clink glasses with Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito at some of the state’s toniest seasonal hot spots!

Chat over cocktails about education empowerment zones, the intricacies of the state’s Medicaid waiver, and queue streamlining at the Registry of Motor Vehicles!

That’s the slightly extrapolated pitch from Baker to potential donors in an email over the weekend that invited the prospectively generous to a spate of summer fundraisers on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard. Baker’s fund-raising team has set out to have $10 million cash on hand by September, part of a broader goal of raising $30 million for his as-yet-unannounced reelection bid.

“[A]fter a cold and rainy spring, it looks like the nice weather is finally here. I know your summer calendars are filling up fast, so I wanted to make sure you knew when Karyn and I would be down on Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard,” Baker wrote.

“Here’s the summer line up,” the governor teased.

Next week, a Wednesday “cocktail reception” will take place at The Ridge Club in Sandwich, running $500 to $1,000 per head, and the governor will be there.

On July 21, at an undisclosed private residence on Nantucket, donors can get into a “host reception” for $5,000, donated or collected, and earn “co-chair” honors for $10,000. A half hour later, the plebes are permitted to attend a cocktail reception for $250, $500, or $1,000.

For those who can hop islands the next morning, there’s brunch on the Vineyard, also at a private residence. Baker and Polito will be on hand, and tickets are $500 or $1,000.

Polito is flying solo the following Tuesday for an evening cocktail reception in Hyannis (location TBD). Entry costs were not included in the email.

Then, on Saturday, July 29, Baker headlines a “poolside lunch” at public relations executive George Regan’s Willowbend residence. That one will also run you $500 or $1,000, per the invitation.

As Baker wrote in signing off the email pitch: “Hope to see you this summer!”
