An “unruly passenger” on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston was arrested by Denver police after he caused a “verbal disturbance,” forcing the plane to make an unscheduled stop in Colorado on Tuesday morning, officials said.
Other than the unruly man, no other passengers had to exit the plane during the stop in Denver, airport officials said.
“Our role is making sure that the aircraft is safe,” a spokesman for the Denver International Airport said.
“The flight was met in Denver by local law enforcement and the passenger was removed. The flight was on the ground approximately 45 minutes before continuing to Boston,” an American Airlines spokeperson wrote in an email.
