The vehicle may have the letter X on its tail light. At the time of the shooting it was occupied by two males, Procopio said.

Procopio said the shootings created “major traffic impact.”

A portion of the highway was shut down after the shootings and MassDOT said traffic was backed up from Dorchester into Somerville after the shooting.
