In the wake of longtime director Elizabeth Ives Hunter’s exit, the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis has been facing the most public crisis of its three-decade history. The board laid off all but two staffers, closed the museum Mondays and Tuesdays, and postponed a pair of upcoming exhibitions. It has also faced a barrage of criticism in the local media and at public gatherings from a group of disgruntled former trustees.
