Jimmie Begay; Navajo Code Talker aided WWII effort

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. - Jimmie Begay, one of about 420 Navajos trained to transmit messages in a code based on the then-unwritten Navajo language, died Wednesday after a fall, his son Thurmon said. Sergeant Begay was 86.
