The Planning Board has denied a request for a waiver of site reviewregulations, effectively killing the proposed $80 million Westin Hotel and Conference Center development. Harborcorp LLC had asked for a waiver that would have paved the way for a second one-year extension of the site approval after the previous extension expired. The development would have included a hotel, conference center, and 657-pace parking garage on land adjacent to the Sheraton Harborside Hotel on Deer Street. - TomLong
