Inauguration set for tomorrow

Winners of City Council and School Committee seats in November will be sworn in at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the City Council chambers. City clerk Cheryl Lapointe will administer oaths for the council and Mayor Kimberley L. Driscoll will swear in the School Committee. Driscoll will not be sworn in because she is in the middle of a four-year term. Afterward, the council and the School Committee will hold reorganization meetings, choosing leaders for the coming year. Among those taking their oath tomorrow is Lisa Lavoie, appointed in a joint convention of the City Council and the School Committee Dec. 19 to fill the vacancy of Kevin R. Carr Jr., who resigned after winning a seat on the City Council. - John Laidler
