The MSPCA at Nevins Farm is accepting applications for a junior volunteer program for children under 16 in grades 7-11. Volunteers and staff will supervise participants, who will take on animal care and support chores in two-hour sessions. Tasks include mucking stalls, walking dogs, feeding horses, and sorting donations. The program will be the last Wednesday of each month 4-6 p.m. starting Feb. 29. A $15 registration fee is due upon acceptance; applicants are given sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. For information or an application, e-mail humaneeducation@mspca.org. - Karen Sackowitz
