More towns looking inward as they seek school chiefs

There are 35 superintendent openings statewide, and that number is expected to go up to at least 50 before the school year ends. Regionally, superintendent searches are underway in Billerica, Hamilton-Wenham Regional, Melrose, Peabody, Pentucket Regional, and Rockport.
