Census forms arriving

The town’s annual census is underway. The office of town clerk Denise Graffeo was set to mail census forms to all households in town last week and is asking residents to complete and return them as soon as possible. Residents need to be included in the census to maintain their status as active voters and to qualify for veterans’ and housing benefits and in-state tuition at state colleges and universities. The town uses census data for planning purposes, and in applying for state and federal grants. For the convenience of dog owners, the 2012 dog registration form was attached to each census form. For more information, call the clerk’s office at 978-640-4355. - John Laidler
