Board cool to remote option

A state provision that would allow remote participation in meetings by members of public boards and committees could be “subject to mischief,” said Selectwoman Rosemary Connelly Smedile during a discussion of the issue last Monday. Town Manager Andrew W. Maylor, who presented the option to the board, said he did not think it needed immediate action. He also said he does not support remote participation. No action on the new state option was taken at the meeting.
