Democrats to pick delegates

Lynn Democrats will be holding a caucus on Feb. 11 to elect delegates and alternates to this year’s Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The caucus is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Lynn Housing Authority’s community room, 10 Church St., with doors opening at 1:15 p.m. Anyone who was registered as a Lynn Democrat as of Dec. 31, 2011, can participate. Eight delegates will be elected from Ward 1, seven apiece from wards 2 and 7; six apiece from wards 3, 4, and 5; and five from Ward 6. Three alternates per ward will also be elected. The main business of the convention, set for June 2 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, will be to endorse a candidate for the US Senate. For more information, call Agnes Ricko, cochairwoman of the Lynn Democratic City Committee, at 781-599-9347. - John Laidler
