Looking ahead on city center

Tomorrow’s community event, “Possible Dreams 2012: Bridge to Bridge and Beyond,” at Northern Essex Community College, will take a look at the recent progress in and future possibilities for the heart of the city. Team Haverhill, an independent group working to improve Haverhill, is holding what it calls a community conversation focusing on ideas for building upon the city’s new assets, such as the parking garage, the Bradford Rail Trail, and streetscape projects on Washington and Merrimack streets. It plans to hold discussions on how to make the city’s central area more coherent and connect it to other neighborhoods, businesses, and cultural treasures. The event is at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the college Technology Center, 100 Elliott St. To reserve a seat, e-mail teamhaverhill.possibledreams@gmail.com.
