Library offers a new service


Flint Memorial Library now offers Wowbrary, a weekly alert system that notifies subscribers of the latest books, movies, music, and audiobooks to arrive. The advisory service also provides a list of readers’ top choices for the week, from children’s books to books on health, detective mysteries, and more. Wowbrary, a project of the California-based nonprofit Interactive Sciences, Inc., was introduced at Flint Memorial Library last week, according to library director Helena Minton. The service is being sponsored by the Friends of the Flint Memorial Library in an effort to connect patrons to the library’s many resources. Wowbrary updates are posted on the Library’s Facebook page and the library website at
