Mroz takes the helm of Custom House Maritime Museum

W. Michael Mroz started work Jan. 13 as the new executive director of the Custom House Maritime Museum. Most residents know the imposing stone building at 25 Water Street, just outside Market Square, and tourists love to pose for photos with the two large red buoys on the sidewalk out front. Mroz’s job is to get more of them to come inside to see the exhibits and special programs about the city’s maritime history and its key role in the early American economy.
