Food pantry is now online

The North Reading Food Pantry last week unveiled a new website at www.nrfoodpantry.org. Visitors to the site can make monetary donations, and see an up-to-date listing of needed items. The pantry, which is run by the Christian Community Service of North Reading, is housed in Town Hall and is open from 9 to 10 a.m. every Monday and from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month. The pantry is currently in need of crunchy peanut butter, mayonnaise, and canned ravioli, as well as baking items, such as sugar and flour, and snacks for children’s school lunches. Cleaning supplies and toiletries also are welcome. Items may be dropped off at several locations around town, including Town Hall, the library, and the post office. For more information, visit the website or call the pantry at 978-276-0040.
