Lowell’s United Teen Equality Center is not only on its way to turning its headquarters, a 173-year-old former church building, into a model of green efficiency and sustainability, but also helping the city’s most at-risk or violent high school dropouts create sustainable lives for themselves through its Workforce Development program.
