Sophomores Hackley and Hyslip pick up the tempo

The strip of red-green-yellow Rastafarian tape wrapped around the right sneaker of every varsity player on the Westford Academy girls’ basketball team is clearly visible, and striking. The Greg Ghosts are playing with a purpose. Playing with intensity and determination, Westford (15-1) has knocked off Dual County League foes Lincoln Sudbury (twice) and Acton-Boxborough, but will face its toughest tests in its final two regular-season games, taking on Central Catholic (Tuesday) and defending Division 1 state champion Andover (Sunday, the 19th).
