Healthy bond rating retained

A credit rating agency last week advised Danvers that it was maintaining the town’s strong bond rating. Town Manager Wayne P. Marquis said Standard & Poor’s advised the town last Monday that it was reaffirming Danvers’ rating of AA+. The decision followed an hourlong conference call on Feb. 6 in which a team of Danvers officials answered questions about the town’s finances. “They kept us at AA+, which is an excellent rating,” Marquis said.
