Presidential reenactors

The public library is marking Presidents’ Day with a monthlong series of dramatic performances recalling some of the nation’s past presidents. The program to date has included one-man shows by Ted Zalewski on Theodore Roosevelt and by actor Mike Lowe on John F. Kennedy, and a performance by the Delvena Theatre Company on some of the more famous first ladies. It continues this Tuesday when Jim Cooke performs a one-man show on John Quincy Adams and on Feb. 29 when Steve Woods portrays Abraham Lincoln. Both shows will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. They are free and open to all, but preregistration is encouraged. To register, call 978-640-4490 ext. 205. - John Laidler
