Student iPads are PTO goal

The Fox Hill Parent Teacher Organization is conducting a fund drive for a technology initiative it is planning for Fox Hill Elementary School. The group seeks to provide an Apple iPad for every classroom in the kindergarten-to-fifth-grade school located on Fox Hill Road. As part of its fund-raising campaign, the PTO is inviting the community to a cocktail hour and three-course dinner March 3 in the grand ballroom of the Marriott hotel in Burlington. The benefit event, scheduled for 6-11 p.m., will feature a live auction and a silent auction, with gifts ranging from Bruins and Celtics tickets to a hot-air balloon ride. There will be live entertainment from Covergirlsmusic, a duet of Burlington residents Debbie Gruber and Debye Delorean. Tickets are $50 and can be obtained from Maureen Drossos at maureenpd68@verizon.net, or by going to foxhillpto.org. - John Laidler
