Democrats unite for Warren

US Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren will be getting solid support from the Woburn delegation at the Democratic State Convention in Springfield June 2. Woburn Democrats on Feb. 18 held a caucus to elect delegates and alternates to the convention. All 15 delegates and all four alternates elected at the caucus pledged to vote for Warren at the convention, according to Democratic State Committee member Carol Donovan of Woburn. Also committed to vote for Warren are Donovan, the seven Democratic ward committee chairs, and state Representative James Dwyer, all of whom earned delegate seats by virtue of their positions. “I’m thrilled,” Donovan said. “We’ve always gone into conventions split among candidates so I’m very happy this turned out this way.”
